Biography
Mother. Partner. Runner. English teacher. Retired marketing and strategy executive. My path to secondary education in English and Language Arts started in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in a supportive family focused on education and with teachers who cared about their students.
An intended dual English and education major at La Salle University, I exited education for a business career spanning two decades. Still, the passion for language arts and literature education lingered. I retired in 2017 to focus on family, volunteer in schools, and ultimately--finally--become an English teacher.

I regard my classroom as the intersection of literature, storytelling, inquiry, and intellectual disruption--a space in which we share experiences while exploring worlds often vastly different from our own. I am passionate about creating and embedding opportunities for all students to explore literature and language with critical lenses and the invitation to interrogate the underpinning assumptions as well as today’s status quo.
